The Samsung Galaxy TabQ announced in China! Samsung is not one to stray away from taking chances. The company produces a multitude of different handsets and tablets in more sizes than most any of its competitors and while some fail others like the Mega series of devices surprising are successful enough for a next generation. Oversized smart phones are otherwise known as phablets and while they were not for everyone we have grown to appreciate the size and scope of their reach. The Galaxy TabQ is a 7 inch smart phone that has just gone official in China.
The Samsung Galaxy TabQ as it is now officially called was believe it or not circulating the rumor mill for a while. Back in April a rather large 7 inch Samsung smart phone popped up into the headlines and anyone paying attention suspected the device to be the next generation Mega. Shortly after this leak the device made another appearance in the wild and was being called the galaxy W. The handset even made its way into the halls of the FCC. Today however the SM-T2558 and SM-T2556 have been made official as the Galaxy TabQ in China and will launch with China Mobile and China Unicom. The device is expected to reach other markets outside of China and we suspect a variation of the device to market it stateside and we’ll be sure to let you know if that becomes a reality. The TabQ starts of course with a 7 inch touch screen display that offers up a 720p resolution. Internally it comes with a highly capable 1.2 GHz quad core processor as well as an 8 mega pixel camera and a two mega pixel front facing shooter. Add in Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, GPS, NFC and a super large 3200 mAh battery powering it all and you are left with what is simply known as the TabQ.
